COVID-19: Emergency Funding For Microboards, Person-Centered Societies and Agents with Direct Funded Standard Agreements (Individualized Funding)

The Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction announced provincial emergency funding that will be distributed through Community Living BC (CLBC) to ensure people with developmental disabilities stay supported and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be up to $35.6 million available over three months from CLBC to support residential services, including group homes, home sharing and supported independent living.
 
Vela Canada is pleased to be partnering with CLBC to support applications for this temporary emergency funding.

What You Need To Apply
 
To be able to apply, Microboards, Person-Centered Societies and Agents with Direct Funded Standard Agreements (Individualized Funding) must:
  • Have residential services (staffed residential, shared living, support living).
  • Be up to date on financial reporting requirements.
  • Have used all existing funding to mitigate COVID-19 related needs.
Where To Apply
  1. Contracts Under $200,000 per year apply directly through Vela Canada. 
  2. Contracts Over $200,000 per year apply through your CLBC office.

  2. If you need help filling out the form, or have questions, please contact Vela Canada.
  3. Send the completed requisition form to Vela Canada who will submit it on your behalf (the form must be submitted through Vela Canada).
